The Delaware Psychological Association is an organization which represents the interests of all psychologists who live or practice in Delaware. Membership in DPA ensures that you are represented on issues that are unique to psychologists in Delaware, as well as those on a national level.
Membership in DPA offers a variety of benefits in addition to supporting the profession of psychology.
To apply for membership, either apply online below or download a paper membership application which may be completed and mailed to DPA at 1732A Marsh Road, Suite 155, Wilmington, DE 19810. Applicants must select the highest level of membership for which they are qualified.
DPA will confirm receipt of your application by e-mail. Once your application is received, it will presented for review and approval at the next meeting of our Executive Council which normally meets during the first week of each month. We will communicate the decision on your application as soon as possible following our Executive Council meeting.
DPA's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Scholarship
The DPA recognizes the study and practice of psychology exists within a majority culture that does not afford equitable access and opportunity to all and is striving to actively dismantle policies and processes that oppress individuals and groups. In our effort to shift systemic inequalities and foster inclusion and equality, we are starting a fund that will provide yearly grant awards to students and professionals of color at the secondary, undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral levels as well as established professionals and career changers. One complementary year of membership in the DPA at the appropriate level of membership will also be awarded. We will begin accepting applications for the Spring application cycle after October 31, 2021. Learn more about our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Scholarship here.
Thank you very much for your interest in DPA. Please feel free to call or e-mail our office with any questions relating to membership.
