DPA's 12th Annual Convention Developmental Milestones and Clinical Practice with Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Sexually-Fluid Individuals
Presented by: Ritch-Savin Williams, Ph.D., Kenneth M. Cohen, Ph.D., and Michele Angello, Ph.D.
During the past decade we have witnessed a substantial increase in our scientific understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and sexually-fluid individuals, especially youth and young adults. In this workshop we discuss the special challenges for LGBTQ individuals, providing clinicians with the latest information regarding the developmental milestones faced as they transition from conception to death and therapeutic approaches and recommendations that are intended to assist clinicians in their work with these individuals.
