Over the past two years, the Delaware Psychological Association’s Diversity Committee has intentionally curated listening sessions led by key Delaware stakeholders who identify with and can provide a culturally responsive perspective to the experiences and existing gaps for culturally diverse and marginalized communities. These pertinent and provoking conversations are geared toward an inclusive audience of psychologists, social workers, mental health clinicians, medical professionals, educators, community members and leaders invested in dismantling systems of bias and oppression, which have resulted in staggering health disparities among marginalized, yet valuable communities.
Clinical Psychologist, Roger Harrison, Ph.D. will facilitate the discussion with our panelists. Please invite colleagues, family members and friends to listen to this discussion where we will support awareness around existing toxic stressors while also highlighting protective and risk factors for families from underserved communities. Our aim is for participants to leave the program with an action plan that supports healthier outcomes for children and families and more empowered to implement the plan.
